SPRI will hold its 2008 SPRI Conference on Sugar Processing Research on September 28-October 1, 2008, at the Delray Beach Marriott, Delray Beach, Florida, USA, with the conference theme: "Diversifying Research." The 26th Session of ICUMSA will follow the SPRI Conference on October 1-3, 2008, at the Delray Beach Marriott. Registration packets will be mailed in mid April 2008.

The next SPRI Executive Committee Meeting will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2008, at the Dauphine Orleans Hotel, New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, in conjucntion with the 15th NOCS on April 10-12, 2008.

Sugar Processing Research Institute, Inc. (SPRI), is an independent non-profit research organization that is supported by member companies, which include cane and beet sugar producers, cane refineries, and supplier and user companies around the world. SPRI is unique multicultural company in its equal focus on cane and beet sugar research objectives.

SPRI is co-located at the Southern Regional Research Center of the USDA, in a unique partnership arrangement, whereby USDA provides space and technical support.

The governing body of SPRI is the Board of Directors, comprised of representative from each member company. The research is governed by the SPRI Research Advisory and Review Committee (RARC) on an annual basis. Membership dues are set by the Board of Directors.

A company may join SPRI by application to the Board of Directors.

Member companies receive all SPRI research reports and publications and full access to the information resources and problems solving capabilites of SPRI.
